A bit about me…

I wanted to be a palaeontologist and a poet. It’s always been writing, reading and gardening, so I’m always digging around for words or with plants.

After studying English at university, I became a journalist and worked as a single parent with three children for a decade. When my youngest was 16 years old, I had another daughter and married again.
I was in my 50s before I had the time (and courage) to head back to university to study for an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. 

Writing and reading have always been a source of vital mental well-being.
